Nobody can do it for you.
Because they could understand
wood and nails and flesh.
They could not understand
death by water
(deep, engulfing and vast).
That is their sacrifice,
to decline to explore the great sea, the dissolution, the unconsciousness, the Neptunian nothingness,
rather, they choose the earthen human cruelty and meat.
This is a sacrifice that they never chose to make
consciously;
rendering it worthless
and all the more tragic.
You have to hang by yourself.
Death is not the sacrifice.
The sacrifice is coming back.
